Will the trike arrive built?

Yes, if delivery is to mainland UK.

We build to order and will contact you with delivery information.

When it’s delivered it’s ready to ride!

Trikes delivered outside of the UK mainland will be sent in a carton and should be assembled professionally.

Which size trikes are for younger riders?

For infants (age 3-6) we have our Muskateer. From approximate age 6 our Mission 16″ wheel trikes are suitable and the 20″ trikes are suitable for children aged around 9 upwards.

We have a handy size guide to help you.

Which trikes would suit a young adult?

Mission 20/24″ wheel trikes are for older children to adult.

Why are your trikes cheaper than other good quality trikes?

We don’t have salesmen on the road which keeps our costs down. Our trikes are designed and assembled in the UK and we source our components from the top suppliers in Taiwan eg Shimano gears, Velo saddles and Wellgo pedals.

Do you do electric conversion kits?

We do not convert our manual tricycles to electric.

Instead we recommend our E-Mission and E-Volution electric tricycles, which has been found to be very popular with our customers, or the DiBlasi R34 folding, electric trike.

Electric conversion is a procedure which can be carried out a specialist company who will take on the responsibility.  The only models recommended for conversion are the Mission Solo, Trilogy and Space Genie.

It is possible to convert the RV Child Transporter to an electric motor, however we believe it would not provide enough power to take the weight of a rider and two children. Please discuss this with the conversion company direct before making a purchase.

Where can I find a dealer who stocks your Trikes?

Can you assess my child for a Trike?

We are not medically trained.  We take advice from parents, occupational therapists and physiotherapists.  We do, however, advise on accessories we supply eg backrests, pedals etc.

How do I know the size I need for my child or myself?

Getting the right size trike is quite easy – we provide the measurements from the saddle to the lowest point of the pedal. Measure from the top of your leg to the ground and select the size that matches.

We have a handy size guide to help you.

Can we visit you?

Yes of course, we would love to see you!

Before you come please get in touch so that we can discuss your needs and have some trikes ready for you. Call 01622 815678 (from outside the UK: +44 1622 815678), email: info@missioncycles.co.uk.

Can a backrest with side support be fitted?

A backrest can be fitted to all the Mission models with wheel sizes 16″, 20″ and 24″.

Can support pedals be fitted?

Yes they can.  We have a selection of pedals which we can fit for you.

Can a parent handle be fitted?

Our parent handle can be fitted to all ‘Mission’ trikes.

Can the VAT be taken off Trikes?

VAT relief is available on a limited range of goods and services for special needs adaptations and items that are originally built with adaptations.

The HM Revenues and Customs have advised that tricycles are not specifically designed for use by disabled people and therefore only specific special needs goods can be sold with VAT removed.

Do they come in different colours?

Unfortunately not. But we can arrange frames to be specially painted in bespoke colours. Please get in touch to find out more.

Are there any grants available?

There are many charitable organisations that help, depending on the disability.

Will a basket fit on the MX Trikes?

Yes as an extra. See baskets in our accessories department.

How much is delivery?

Please see our delivery page for delivery costs to the UK and a quote request form for orders outside of the UK.

How long will it take for my trike to be delivered?

We aim to deliver within a week but this is not always possible especially as we are in Kent and with deliveries to areas such as Scotland, Wales, and Cornwall areas, the product has to go through different freight hubs. See our delivery page.
